MapleStory New Timeless Weapons and Equipments (Level 120)


What’s special about Timeless Equipments?
Timeless weapons, armours and accessories are equipments that are untradeable once you have equipped them into your character, but you can still change/swap with other equipments. If you have them in your equipment inventory but have not equipped them, they are still tradeable. The specialty of this equipment are they could level up similar to MapleStory Players. Each time they level up, there is a probability that they provide you with additional SP to your 4th Job Skills. Apart from that, the equipment stats (STR/DEX/INT/DEF/Weapon Attack/Magic Attack/etc) will improve as well.

So, how do I level up my weapons?
Well, so far, only the “Timeless” level 120 equips have the level-up system in place.
No other weapon set can level up with experience points.

The leveling system is dependent on usage of the weapon and the amount of experience that you gain while using the weapon. It’s reasonable to assume that these experience points for the weapon are difficult to obtain due to the following EXP “to-next-level” table:

1. 80 EXP
2. 90 EXP
3. 100 EXP
4. 110 EXP
5. 120 EXP
6. 0 EXP - (in other words, you can’t go to level 7)

This is a very curious move by Nexon. Finally we don’t need to collect hundreds of millions of exp points to level! Still, knowing Nexon, leveling weapons won’t be easy.

What do I get by leveling up my weapon?
A warrior could get STR for primary and DEX for secondary, and a bowman would get DEX for primary and STR for secondary. STR Dits have STR as their secondary and LUK Dits have DEX for their secondary. These bonuses only last for levels 1-5. Once you attain the 6th level, you have the chance of getting enhancement skills.

For physical classes, the weapon receives the following after each level-up:
+ WATK(0~2)
+ PrimaryStat(1~2)
+ SecondaryStat(0~1)

For magical classes, you receive the following after each level-up:
+MATK(1~4)
+INT(1~2)
+LUK(0~1)

Enhancement skills?! Are they any good?
Well, first you have to find out if you’ll even GET the skill in the first place. Upon obtaining the final 6th level, there is a small probability that you will receive a special enhancement skill to your weapon. In the list below are the possible enhancements that you can get.
1. Seal your opponent for 10 seconds with a 10% probability
2. Put your opponent into darkness for 10 seconds with a 10% probability
3. Stun your opponent for 5 seconds with a 10% probability
4. Slow your opponent by 50 speed for 5 seconds with a 10% probability
6. Freeze your opponent for 5 seconds with a 10% probability

Is that damage given or damage received?
Okay, let’s go back to what I said before… “there is a small probability…” So, what’s the probability?

For each weapon there are two possible pre-determined skills you have a shot at getting. For the first skill you have a 1/7 chance of getting it, and the second skill you have a 1/7 chance of getting it. There is a 5/7 chance that you get nothing at all.

Oh, one more thing. If you happen to get lucky enough to get a skill, you also get +50 bonus HP Recovery every 10 seconds. Whoopee.

What are the possible pre-determined skills for each weapon?
- All warrior weapons = Seal, Darkness
- All thief weapons = Freeze, Slow
- All magician weapons = Darkness, Stun
- All pirate weapons = Seal, Damage
- All bowman weapons = ??? (Not in WZ files yet)

As for +1 (possible skill) system
If that specific skill is max it will not grant an extra point to that skill. Here is an example below

Ereb is the latest island to appear in the Maple World. It is the home of the Empress of the Maple World, miss Cygnus, along with her defenders, the Knights of Cygnus. The Cygnus Knights work actively to stop the forces of the Black Magician, the recurring villain who is referenced in Magatia, Elin Forest, and Nautilus Harbor. With the Black Magician's sudden increase in power, however, the existing Knights are no longer sufficient, and thus they have opened the land of Ereb to visitors who wish to join their ranks. By talking to the Empress's tactician, Nineheart, any character over the level of 30 can sign up to join the Knights. Upon joining, a special Cygnus Character will be created with the character name specified. This Cygnus character, instead of being the ordinary beginner, will hold the title of the Cygnus equivalent, Noblesse. Upon reaching level 10, the Noblesse can then speak to Mikhail to become a Soul Warrior, Oz to become a Flame Magician, Irina to become a Windreaver (Archer), Ikart to become a Nightwalker (Thief), or Hawkeye to become a Striker (Pirate). The main difference between a Cygnus character and their ordinary counterparts is that Cygnus characters are bonded to a unique summon "sprite" from their first job onward. This Sprite imbues the Cygnus character with the bonuses of its elemental affinity, granting the Knight new skills and greater powers.

Ereb has a number of unique features. Many of the quests are exclusive to Cygnus characters. The hunting grounds cannot be entered by any non-Cygnus characters; this is mostly to prevent higher level characters from interfering since Noblesse level up to level 10 here, instead of Maple Island. On the far side of the hunting grounds, there is a special training area. This is used to get newly advanced Knights (in their First Job) started, and also where the later job advancements seem to be held.

The monsters of Ereb seem to be light and birdlike. Because the monsters can't be reached by all players, they do not drop cards for the Monster Book. The area itself also possesses these Avian qualities, as does the legendary Holy Beast, Shin Su, which is also found here. Shin Su seems to be a wise creature, and not a monster. By talking to Shin Su, a player can gain a special blessing, which increases the player stats for one hour, making it very useful to beginning Noblesse. The island levitates high in the sky using the power of the Sprites, near Maple Island. It can be reached from Ellinia, by taking a 2 minute ship, and by Orbis, through a 10 minute ship.
